Weekend in Black and White

Brentford has a thriving boat community, both on the Grand Union Canal and the River Thames. Whilst the narrow boats tend to have the canal, the Thames and the tributaries are dominated by Dutch barges. There is even a hull maker nearby. Not an industry you would expect to see in a London suburb.

This clock is on the outside of a building on the seafront at Weston-Super-Mare. I thought at first it might have been a station clock, but no, it's from the Grand Central indoor market. It's certainly seen better days.
