Had to visit Northern France today so went to the beach at Wimeraux between Calais and Boulogne. Unfortunately there were no windsurfers out today otherwise I might have got another W in there!

I had to visit Northern France today for a whole 4 hours! Not exactly a summer vacation! Stopped quickly in Boulogne-Sur-Mer and visited the 13th? Century castle and for once it still has it's moat!

The photo is of a pond in the grounds of an estate in Richmond, Surrey. Despite it being close to the junction of two major roads it is remarkably peaceful.

I spent 6 years of my life at this school. Half way along the front is a doorway which none of us pupils were ever allowed to walk through. We had a door round the side and the front entrance was left for the great and the good when they visited. I'm not even sure the teachers were allowed through.

Anyway, which ever door I went through I'm not sure it did me any good.

They say you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Not sure about stone horses but he looks a little mad, so best not to get too close!

We were driving on holiday between Carcassonne and Beziers in Southern France via a long winding road and I glanced out of the side window, saw this view and slammed on the breaks. Took the photo because of the ruined castle but can't tell you exactly where it was.

Trolleys.

There is something about a nicely formed line(s) of supermarket trolleys that is pleasing to the eye. Or at least my eye. This lot actually are nicely packed so they're straight rather than a bit wiggly.

I think I might be a bit obsessive here! :)
